Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) Oral Medicine and Radiology is a 3-year postgraduate course in Vokkaligara Sangha Dental College and Hospital. The course offers basic and advanced knowledge of all dental and maxillofacial diseases. The students seeking admission in this course have to appear for entrance exams required for college. The students are trained to use basic diagnostic procedures and techniques that are useful in recognizing the disease of the oral and perioral tissues. Apart from working in hospitals or clinics, the graduates of the course are recruited into fields of academia, becoming professors of dentistry or researching further in the field.
