Master of Dental Surgery (M.D.S.) Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a 3-year postgraduate program in Vokkaligara Sangha Dental College and Hospital. The course trains the students in diagnosis, surgical and adjunctive treatment of ailments, wounds, and deformities of the human jaws and related oral and facial structures. The practitioners treat numerous illness, wounds and imperfections in the head, neck, face, jaws and the hard and delicate tissues of the oral (mouth) and maxillofacial (jaw and face) district after learning this course. Besides the development of disorders of these zones, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons are in charge of the surgical treatment of obtained, congenital, and traumatic issues related to the jaws and the facial region.
