Master of Science (M.Sc) in Optometry is a 2-year postgraduate program under Allied Health Sciences. Students learn the specifics of examining, diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases and disorders of the eye. They are trained in vision screening, orthotics, optometric counselling to patients, identifying colour blindness and hereditary vision defects, and designing and fitting spectacles, contact lenses and low vision aids. The postgraduate students are mandated to take part in seminars, discussions, journal club presentations, and clinical postings.
