Master of Technology (M.Tech) in VLSI Design & Embedded Systems is a 2-year postgraduate program offered by CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT). The course curriculum deals with the design, and development of IC-based systems. Students learn to design semiconductor devices and circuits, build systems using embedded components such as CPU, Memory, and Peripherals. The students are required to do project work and partake in technical seminars.

Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Instrumentation Technology/ Telecommunication/ Electrical & Electronics/ Biomedical/ Medical Electronics Engineering or cleared the Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) examination in the appropriate branch with a minimum aggregate marks of 50% in all the semesters in the qualifying examination (45% for Karnataka SC/ ST candidates). Additionally, the candidate must have also qualified in Graduate Aptitude Test In Engineering (GATE)/ Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET).
