Doctor of Medicine (MD) Shalakyatantra is a full-time 3-year post graduate program in KLE Ayurveda Hospital & Medical Research Centre. The discipline deals with the integration of knowledge of Ayurveda and recent medical research in the field of ophthalmology. The training is given on the management of certain eye disease and prepares the student to manage diseases that affect the eye like diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts.
