Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore is a premier public university set up on June 1st, 1996 by the Karnataka Government. The university is in Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. RGUHS is a promotional and regulatory body for medical science education in Karnataka. RGUHS, Bangalore is one of India's largest medical universities and is consistently ranked among the top medical universities in India. Rajiv Gandhi University of Allied Health Sciences affiliated colleges have been ranked consistently among the top Medical, Dental, and Paramedical Colleges in India.
RGUHS is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, United Kingdom (UK). Rajiv Gandhi University, Bangalore was established under the Karnataka State Legislature Act of 1994. The RGUHS applying candidates must pass 2 years of Pre-University or 12th standard examination with English as one of the subjects along with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects.
The candidates must secure a pass mark in all the subjects and a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined.
5 Years (Including one-year mandatory internship)
Candidates must pass 2 years of Pre-University or 12th standard examination with English and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. They must also pass in all the subjects and secure a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined.
5½ Years
The RGUHS applying candidates must pass 2 years of Pre-University or 12th standard examination. They must have studied English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects in their Pre-university or 12th standard. They must secure a pass mark in all the subjects and a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined.
5½ Years (including one-year mandatory internship)
The applying aspirant must have passed 2 years of Pre-University or 12th standard examination conducted by a recognized educational board. He/ she must have studied English as one of the subjects alongside Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. The total aggregate marks obtained by the candidate must not be less than 50%.
4 Years
The RGUHS applying candidates must have passed 2 years of Pre-University or 12th standard examination. The applicants must have studied PCM/ PCB/ PCMB/ PCME/ PCMC with an aggregate of not less than 50% marks. The candidates who have passed the Diploma in Pharmacy course with not less than 60% aggregate are also eligible for the program and shall be permitted for the 2nd Year B.Pharm course.
4 Years (Including 24 weeks mandatory internship)
Aspirants must have passed the Pre-University or 12th Standard examination. They must have passed the mandatory subjects, i.e., English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology individually, with 45% marks.
4 Years (including 24 weeks of mandatory internship)
Interested candidates must have passed the Pre-University or 12th Standard examination in Arts, Science, or Commerce field offered by a recognized educational board.
4½ Years (including 6 months of mandatory internship)
Aspirants must pass the Pre-University or 12th Standard Examination with English as one of the subjects. The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects with total aggregate marks of 45% or more.
3½ Years (including one-year of mandatory internship)
Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. in Allied Health Science Courses must pass their Pre-university or 12th Standard examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. Candidates with a 3-year Diploma in the preferred subject can also apply for the program. They should have completed their diploma from a Government-recognized Institute.

Candidates must have passed the required B.Sc Allied Science course from institutions affiliated with RGUHS or other state or central medical universities. Candidates who have done B.Sc Allied Health courses through correspondence are not eligible for the courses.
2 Years
Candidates must have passed the final year BNYS examination from any of the affiliated universities. They must complete a 1-year compulsory rotatory internship in a teaching institution or other institutions.
The candidates should also obtain a permanent registration from any of the Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences Colleges recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. Those holding a correspondence degree are not eligible for the course.
3 - 5 Years
Candidates should have obtained an MD Masters Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized and registered national or state medical body.

The candidates applying for the scholarship must fulfil the following criteria:
1. The student applying for the RGUHS scholarship must have studied for at least 10 years or more in Karnataka.
2. MBBS and BDS students must have scored more than 80%, whereas the students of other health science courses must have scored more than 60% in 10+2 or other equivalent examinations.
3. The RGUHS, Bangalore applying candidate’s parents' annual income must not exceed more than Rs. 6 lakhs per annum.
