The Bangalore University Admission procedure is as follows:
Located in the IT capital of India, Bangalore University (BU) was established in 1964 as an offshoot of the University of Mysore. BU is formed by the city’s 2 premier institutions, Central College (CC) and University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE).
Bangalore University offers multiple Undergraduate, Integrated, Postgraduate, Diploma, PG Diploma, Certificate, and Doctorate courses for eligible candidates. The Law College was established in 1948 and the College of Physical Education in 1959.
In 1973, Bangalore University moved into a new campus named Jnana Bharathi (JB), which is located on a sprawling 1100 acres of land. Currently, the JB Campus houses several offices, PG departments, centres of higher learning, NSS Bhavan, outdoor stadium, and other support services.
Bangalore University has completed 57 years of its existence and is regarded as one of the largest universities in Asia. Though BU was intended to be a federal university, it has currently emerged as an affiliating university, with over 298 colleges affiliated to it.

Bangalore University provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The university provides accommodation, dining, drinking water, a reading room, a TV room/ hall, daily newspapers and many more facilities.

Over 14,000 patients visit the Bangalore University Health Centre every year. The University Health Centres are functioning mainly at the Jnana Bharathi and Central College Campuses. Bangalore University’s Health Centre ensures to provide the basic medical needs of the staff and students of the university.
BU health centres are managed by two senior physicians along with various Supporting Staffs and Technicians. Bangalore University’s Health Centre also accommodates certified and experienced nursing staff capable of managing patients during emergencies. It has an Outpatient Ward, Laboratory, X-Ray Lab, etc. The University Health Centre also has a bed for temporary monitoring of BP and other emergencies. It also has made provision for 2 specialist doctors to visit twice a week.
The Library at Bangalore University came into existence in 1966 by inheriting a document collection of about 58,000 books along with several bound volumes of periodicals held by the Central College Library. The Bangalore University’s library was later shifted to Jnana Bharathi Campus in 1975.

The applicants of BE at Bangalore University should have passed 12th Standard or pre-university college with English as a mandatory subject. Apart from that, candidates need to have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the subjects among Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Electronics, Information Science, and Computer Science. Also, they have to obtain a minimum aggregate mark of 45%.

Candidates must have passed 12th standard or pre-university college with a minimum aggregate of 50% in their final exams to undertake B.Arch at Bangalore University. They should have mathematics as a compulsory subject.
The candidate applying to BA LLB at Bangalore University must have completed their pre-university college or 12th standard from a recognized educational board in India. The minimum cut off marks for General and SC/ ST candidates is 45%, while for OBC candidates, it is 42%.
Candidates applying to LLB at Bangalore University must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate of all subjects, including languages.
Candidates applying to B.P.Ed at Bangalore University must have completed their bachelor’s in any discipline with 50% marks. They must have participated in Inter-College/ Inter-Zonal/ District/ School level competitions in sports and games, recognized by the AIU/ IOA/ SGFI/ Government of India.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as a compulsory elective subject can apply.
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and having participated in National/ Inter-University State competitions or secured 1st, 2nd, or 3rd position in Inter College/ Inter-Zonal/ District/ School competition in sports and games, recognized by the AIU/ IOA/ SGFI/ Government of India can apply.
The candidates who have graduated with 45% marks and at least 3 years of coaching experience can apply.
The candidates applying to B.Ed at Bangalore University must have completed their graduation in any 1 stream out of Arts, Commerce, and Science. The candidates must have scored an aggregate of 50% to 55% marks in their UG level examination.
Candidates applying to B.Sc at Bangalore University must have completed their 12th standard or pre-university college in the science stream. They must have scored not less than the minimum aggregate of 50% in their final exam.

Aspirants must have passed B.P.Ed degree from a recognized university. They must have secured at least 50% in their preceding curriculum. Also, Bangalore University applying candidates must have participated in recognized inter-university, inter-state, international sports events. Candidates applying to M.Ed at Bangalore University are required to secure a minimum of 50% (5% relaxation for reserved candidates) marks in their graduation, done from a recognized university. The applicants must have completed B.Ed from a UGC-approved institute. Candidates applying to MCA at Bangalore University must obtain a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Also, they must score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects, including languages. Candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree in the field of commerce, banking, or finance from any recognized board or university. They must have secured 45% to 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
The Bangalore University’s MTA applying candidate should have completed their bachelor’s from a recognized institute with at least 50% (45% for reserved category) aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
Applicants must have completed either BHM or BTTM and must have scored minimum aggregate marks of 50% and above. Candidates who have studied B.Sc. Hospitality & Administration and BA Tourism can also apply for this course at Bangalore University.

Bangalore University’s Ph.D aspirants must hold a PG degree from a recognized university. They must have scored a minimum aggregate mark of 55% (5% relaxation for the reserved category) or an equivalent grade in the qualifying examination. Bangalore University admission procedure for various courses is based primarily on merit. However, Bangalore University also accepts scores obtained by the candidates in multiple state or national level entrance examinations for specific courses. Eligible candidates are required to register themselves online for Bangalore University Admission.
1. Admission to Bachelor of Engineering (BE) is based on the scores of the Karnataka State Common Entrance Test (KCET).

Bangalore University scholarships are provided for the meritorious and deserving candidates as directed by the Government of Karnataka and University Grants Commission (UGC) norms.
The Bangalore University Scholarships provided depends on multiple factors mentioned below:
The scholarship is available to ST/ SC students from Karnataka whose parent’s annual income is less than or equal to Rs. 2,50,000. They can claim the scholarship from the Social Welfare Department.
Minority Indian candidates i.e. Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Anglo-Indians, Jain, etc are provided with Bangalore University scholarships. The candidate’s parents, whose annual income is less than Rs. 44,500 are eligible to apply for the encouragement fund provided by the Minorities Welfare Department (MWD).
The GOI Merit Scholarships are given for the top-ranking students as administered by the Director of Collegiate Education.
Special Scholarships are offered for the children of Government Employees/ University Employees who die in harness. They are administered by the Director of Collegiate Education or the University.
The scholarship is provided to Single Girl Child for non-professional post-graduate courses administered by UGC.
The scholarship was implemented during the academic year 2013-14 for meritorious students (1st to 5th Ranks) who fall under the Below Poverty Line (BPL).
Bangalore University has established a Centralized Placement Cell that is located at the Canara Bank School of Management Studies, Central College. The Bangalore University Placement centre will cater to the students during the pre-placement process and placement program conducted for PG candidates of the University. The university ensures to train the candidates with the required skills for the Bangalore University Placements.
