The applying candidates must have passed in LLB (3 Years) or Integrated Law Program (5 Years). The passing institute has to be recognized in India or abroad.

Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA):

The candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree from any discipline with a minimum of 50% (45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories) aggregate marks from any recognized institute or university. They must have a minimum of 5 years Managerial/ Executive/ Supervisory work experience in any Industry/ Educational Institution.

The minimum percentage will be relaxed by 5% in case the applicant has a degree with 50% marks or more than 10 years of managerial work experience.

Economics and Commerce:

Master of Commerce (M.Com):

The applicants must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Management or other field from a recognized institute or university. They must have scored not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% for the candidates belonging to reserved categories) to be eligible for the M.Com program at CMR University.

Social Sciences and Humanities:

Master of Arts (MA) in Journalism and Mass Communication:

The candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree with any specialization from a recognized university. They must score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories).

Master of Science (M.Sc) in Psychology:

The candidates must have passed any degree from any recognized institute or university. They must have obtained an aggregate of 50% marks (45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories). It is necessary for the candidate to pursue Psychology (for Clinical Psychology course) as an optional subject to be eligible for this course at CMR University.

Master of Social Work (MSW):

The candidates must have passed with a bachelor’s degree from any recognized institute or university. They must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for the candidates belonging to reserved categories) in the same.

Science Studies:

Master of Computer Application (MCA):

The applying candidate must have passed a Bachelor's degree from any recognized institute or university. They should have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ ST) in the same. Applicants must have studied Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science at 10+2 level or graduation level. Those obtaining valid marks in PGCET or KMAT entrance exams can also apply for MCA at CMR University.

Education:

The candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree from any recognized institute or university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories).

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D):

The candidates applying for Ph.D at CMR University should have completed their Master’s Degree in a relevant specialization from any recognized institute or University. The applicant must have scored 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent grades in the same. Foreign candidates with equivalent degrees or an equivalent grading can also apply.

The respective foreign university must be accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation agency recognized or approved by the foreign authority. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of the grade will be allowed for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently-abled/ or other categories of candidate’s as per the UGC norms.

CMR University also considers professional qualification of Chartered Accountancy (CA) for admission to Ph.D programs in Commerce and allied disciplines. For management disciplines: The university also considers professional qualification of PGDM from any institute approved by AICTE as equivalent to PG program for Ph.D admissions.

The admission procedure for all the courses at CMR University are as follows:

Following are the steps for the application procedure:

• The application procedure begins with the registration on the official website of CMR University.

• The applying candidates must check the eligibility criteria while applying for their desired courses.

• After the application process, students must register themselves for a free counselling session at the HRBR campus to finalize their academic program.

• The applicants should have the necessary documents for the verification process.

• After the process, the candidates must pay the required tuition fees for confirming their seats.

Important Instructions to follow during Admission Procedure:

• The paid application fee is non-refundable.

• The E-mail ID submitted during the registration process will be used as correspondence till the completion of the enrollment process.

• The students are advised to use only the CMR University Query Management System, for a quicker response.

CMR University Scholarships:

CMR University scholarships are provided under CMR Janardhana Trust. The scholarships are awarded to exceptional and deserving candidates. These are awarded on the basis of merit/ means/ demonstrated leadership/ sports abilities, etc.

CMR Memorial Scholarships are awarded for candidates in need of financial assistance. The decision to award the scholarships are ultimately determined by the CMR Scholarship Committee.

This is a merit-cum-means scholarship that is awarded for students coming from economically weak backgrounds and rural areas. The applying candidates must have a good academic background. They must provide relevant details as proof of eligibility. The complete application along with all the necessary documents are considered to be relevant.

The CMR University applying candidates with an outstanding academic track record will be considered for this scholarship.

Important Guidelines:

The fee waivers mentioned above for all the categories are applicable only for the first year of admission at CMR University. The waivers will be continued for the next year only if:

• The candidate maintains the minimum SGPA of 8.5 and above

• They should maintain 85% attendance in each semester/ trimester.

• Previous semesters must be cleared in the first attempt.

• The student must not have charges of misconduct or involvement in any disciplinary actions.

The CMR Leadership award is awarded to a candidate demonstrating exceptional skills of behaviour and leadership qualities:

• The candidate must have a consistent contribution towards academics, sports, co-curricular, and other institute related activities.

• They must have good communication skills while displaying the mark of a leader.

• Students must follow the institute policies, and show respect towards teaching and non-teaching staff.

• They must have set themselves as an example for others by demonstrating a positive attitude, outstanding behaviour and conduct.

• The students of CMR University must be admired both by the teachers, the peer groups, and colleagues.

CMR University sports scholarship aims to encourage and promote sports activities both within the institute and throughout the country. These scholarships are awarded to candidates who have achieved in State, National, and International Levels. The candidates who have participated in Yoga or Chess at the National and International Level competitions can also apply.

Note: The Sports Scholarship is available for the first 16 students only.

Note: Cricket Scholarship is available for the first 14 candidates.

• The Sports Scholarship shall be awarded by CMR University for one year. It will be renewable if the candidates are maintaining or improving their proficiency in their concerned game or sport. In case of injury, diseases or ill health, the candidates will be exempted from this decision and the decision will be made by the sports committee.

• For the renewal of the scholarship, the candidates shall submit a new application failing to which it will not be awarded even if the student is eligible.

• The application form has to be forwarded to the sports committee through a proper channel.

• Free transport facility shall be extended to students participating in any sport and game.
