Established in 1958, the Veterinary College, Bangalore changed a lot over the period of time. It was started at a temporary shed located in Mysore Serum Institute which is now known as the Institute of Animal Health and Veterinary Biologicals, Hebbal. It is also a part of the Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University, Bidar.
The college is located 7 km away from Vidhana Soudha on Bangalore to Hyderabad highway. It offers courses in B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal husbandry), M.V.Sc. (Master of Veterinary Science) and PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) in a structure laid down by the Veterinary Council of India.
The college is affiliated to Karnataka Veterinary Animal and Fisheries Sciences University and recognised by VCI. The college aims at providing quality higher education in various branches of Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences.
