Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) at Government Unani Medical College, Bangalore, deals with 14 major subjects recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). The subjects taught are Kulliyat e Tib (Basic Principles of Unani Medicine), Tashreeh ul Badan (Human Anatomy), Munafe ul Aza (Human Physiology) and several others. The students get hands-on experience in drug formulation and preparation. During the internship period, they get to work alongside other physicians in patient care.
