Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)/ Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) Civil Engineering is a 4-year undergraduate engineering degree in School of Engineering and Technology - Jain (Deemed-To-Be-University). The course is lately sidelined due to the IT boom in India but it is one of the oldest engineering disciplines in the world. Until a few years back, the course was much sought after among Indian students. The course gives both theoretical and practical knowledge to the students. Civil engineers not just work in a construction industry but also in other industries like oil and energy, transportation, petroleum, power and electric utilities etc wherever infrastructure projects and construction facilities are involved.
