Doctor of Medicine (MD) Psychiatry is a 3-year long postgraduate course in KLE’s Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belagavi. It is a special field of healthcare where a student does assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental and emotional behaviour disorder of a patient. They delve into a patient’s psyche and understand the deep-root cause of anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, etc.
