Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) Surgery is a doctorate-level research programme at KLE’s Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belagavi. With advanced knowledge of surgery after a masters degree, candidates with a research frame of mind take up this programme to contribute to the growth of the field with their unique contribution. The duration is typically between 3 to 5 years. Each PhD candidate is allocated a guide, themselves a research scholar, who provides the necessary guidance towards successful research and thesis presentation.
