Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Computer Applications is a 3-year Doctoral program offered by the CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT). The program is divided into three parts, namely, Part I - Coursework, Part II - Comprehensive Viva Voice, Part III - Synopsis Submission, Thesis Submission, and Defense. The students are required to undertake a course on Research Methodology prescribed by the University, which includes quantitative methods and computer applications. Research subjects include Computation Theory, Principles of Information Security, Distributed Systems, Database Systems, Compilers, and POPL with Formal Verification
