Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Chemistry is a 3-year Doctoral program offered by the CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT). The program is divided into three parts, namely, Part I - Coursework, Part II - Comprehensive Viva Voice, Part III - Synopsis Submission, Thesis Submission, and Defense. The students are required to undertake a course on Research Methodology prescribed by the University, which includes quantitative methods and computer applications. Subjects of study include Computational and Theoretical Chemistry, Biochemistry and Organic Synthesis, Magnetic Resonance and Structural Chemistry, and Biochemistry.
