Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Business Administration is a 3-year Doctoral program offered by the CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT). The program is divided into three parts, namely, Part I - Coursework, Part II - Comprehensive Viva Voice, Part III - Synopsis Submission, Thesis Submission, and Defense. The students are required to undertake a course on Research Methodology prescribed by the University, which includes quantitative methods and computer applications. Subjects of study include Banking, Accounting Seminar, Global Marketing Seminar, Theory of Finance, Advanced Accounting Theory, Advanced Accounting Theory, Seminar in Banking, Strategic Information Systems.

The candidate must hold an MCA Degree recognized by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), and secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks at the qualifying examination.
