National Hospitality Teachers Eligibility Test (NHTET) is a national level exam conducted by the National Council of Hotel Management And Catering Technology (NCHMCT).
The NHTET exam allows candidates to be eligible for the positions of:
Only the candidates declared eligible through NHTET can apply against any vacancy for the above-mentioned positions at Institute of Hotel Management's (IHM) campuses all over India. Although, NHTET qualified candidates will not have any right of automatic induction in the IHMs. They have to face a separate selection process for induction as Assistant Lecturers or Teaching Associates.
Aspirants applying for the exam should have completed their full-time Bachelor's or Master's degree with a minimum aggregate score of 55% from a recognized institute.
