Marine means relating to or found in the sea. Also, it refers to the marine army which is served on shipboard as soldiers. Marine as a course is the best way to build a successful career. Marine industry courses are highly job-oriented. Nowadays, the shipping industry is used for import and export of goods, people as well as animals from one place to another. Diploma:

Diploma Nautical Science is a 1-year course and leads you to further study and job opportunities in the Marine industry. The diploma will be awarded by the Ministry of Shipping. 1-year Nautical Science diploma is completely residential.

General Purpose Rating (GP) is 6-months course. After successfully completing the course one can join the shipping industry and can work with shipping companies

Polytechnic diploma in marine engineering is of 3 years course. In this program, you can learn about the skills and abilities you need to work at sea. Some universities are having their entrance exams for Marine engineering diploma courses admission process.

UG Courses:

Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Marine engineering is the study of making and maintenance of sea crafts, yards, docks and harbour installations. After completing Marine engineering candidate can design, build and maintenance ships/vehicles used in or around water.

Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Naval Architecture is a 4-year course. Naval architecture program learner can design, architect or maintain a ship, yard, other marine vehicles and other outdoor structures, both civil and military.

Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in petroleum is a detailed study of oil and gas from deposits below the earth's surface. The main subjects you will study in this course arePhysics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Thermodynamics, Geology, Economics and few other.

Harbour and ocean engineering is a course where the candidate will get deep knowledge about the physical properties of carbohydrates, civil knowledge of harbour and mechanical knowledge of shipping vehicles.

Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Marine Electrical & Electronics is a 4-year course. This course will lead you to get a job in the field of electrical and electronics department. The learner can work as at the shipping yards repair and maintenance companies only for electrical and electronics department.

Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Ship Building, Repair & Conversion Technologies is a study of building, repairing and maintaining Shipping vehicles and surrounded civil works.

Bachelors of Science (B.Sc) in Nautical Science specialises a candidate to be a deck officer, cadet, Chief officer, a captain and much more in the merchant navy. It’s a 3-year course with a big opportunity to work at sea.

PG Courses:

Master of Engineering/Master of Technology in Marine Engineering Management is a postgraduate program in manufacturing, designing and maintenance of operating ships and ship making. It’s a 2-years course consisting of four semesters.

Masters of Science (M.Sc) Marine Biotechnology is of 2-years course and its syllabus is divided into four semesters course. Candidates can study a variety of topics during the course, for instance, Marine biology, cell biology and genetics, chemical oceanography and many more.

Masters of Science (M.Sc) in Fleet Operations Management is a 2-year postgraduate course. Candidate can study middle level and higher level requirements of marine and allied industries. The eligibility criteria for this course is a bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
