All paramedical diploma courses are for a tenure of three years for students who have passed 10th standard or SSLC or equivalent. Students studying diploma after 10th standard will be taught English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology of Karnataka PUC in the first year of the course.

For students who have passed 12th standard or PUC or equivalent in Science with PCB, PCMB, or CBZ as the main specialisations, the diploma programme is for two years. Most paramedical diploma courses in Karnataka are affiliated to Para Medical Board, Government of Karnataka.

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology is a two or three years programme that deals with the diagnosis of diseases and disorders through clinical laboratory tests. Lab technicians analyse body samples to detect changes in the body.

Diploma in X-Ray Technology is a two or three years programme that deals with operating X-Ray and other radiological machines.
